Our family’s favorite ride of our 2019 Disney World trip was at the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland. We could not get enough of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and our chance to fight Evil Emperor Zurg! The brightly colored enemies and fun “Z” targets to point and shoot our laser cannons at from the from XP-37 Space Cruisers was a blast. I highly recommend not letting your 3 year old take the spin joystick into their hands, otherwise you may spend the entire ride going in circles.
Using a Fast Pass on this ride was well worth it. After Magic Hours and through lunch, this ride consistently had wait times between 30 and 60 minutes. Thankfully we were able to get on early during Magic Hours and plan another trip through during prime time as well. The ride was great for our family of 5 as we could have our youngest sit on my lap and each of the kids (3 years old and 2 years old) ride with Mom and I to get a chance to shoot the laser cannon. The fun part for this super competitive dad was looking at the points rankings right after we exited. I couldn’t crack 100,000 points, so I’ll have to keep trying and reading some tips and tricks for next time!
The ride exits goes through a Toy Story gift shop, because well, nearly every ride spits you out in a gift shop. We ended up with a Buzz Lightyear toy that looks right out of the movie!
